Antique commercial sign made of thick cardboard, designed to resemble a rolled parchment. It bears the decorative Gothic-style inscription “Goûtez notre spécialité” (“Try our specialty”), with red and black typography typical of the first half of the 20th century. A red faux wax seal adds to the “old document” effect. Two holes at the top allowed for wall mounting, commonly used in butcher shops or delicatessens to catch customers’ attention.
