A rare, complete, illustrated box from the late 19th/early 20th century for the Cachet Crampon device, invented to make envelopes "absolutely tamper-proof." Produced by the renowned Blanzy Poure & Cie factory, this invention combined a metal tool with a wooden handle and crimped lead discs, allowing for the sealing of mail or confidential documents. The lid, finely lithographed in red, black, and gray, displays superb industrial design with ribboned typography.
