An elegant rectangular lithographed tin box signed Manufacture des Biscuits Pernot – Mr Alfred Rich & Cie, Nantes . The lid features an Art Nouveau illustration of a young redhead dressed in red in a pastoral setting, surrounded by holly and gilded arabesques. The back highlights the qualities of this refined dessert, presented as a creation of the prestigious Pernot company. A superb example of French food advertising from the turn of the century.
