A large ornate initial opens the text, which is written in a fine brown ink and accompanied by a signature with an interlaced paraph. Dated 1738, this deed concerns the sale of assets from an estate to a stonemason residing in Plombières; a summary note appears on the reverse. Its elongated format, the nuances of its skin, and the contrast of the stamp give it a fine presence, appreciable for enthusiasts of antique documents and heraldic ornaments.

✦ Period: 1738, handwritten date
✦ Provenance: Lorraine, Plombières area
✦ Dimensions: Approximately 26 × 14 cm
✦ Material: Handwritten parchment in brown ink, black fiscal stamp
✦ Content: Deed of sale on the recto, handwritten annotation on the verso
✦ Condition: Patinated and slightly wavy parchment, distinct folds, stains and small perforations, particularly at the fold intersections.
