A rare, complete original box entitled "Coachman's Whip ," containing approximately 100 whip strands carefully wrapped with white cord. These flexible strands, called whip strands , were intended to be attached to the ends of the whips used by coachmen to prolong the crack without harming the animal. The illustration on the box, in an engraved style typical of the Belle Époque , depicts an elegant coachman and his passenger in a horse-drawn carriage. The label "100 cigarettes n°1" refers to the packaging, not the contents. The presence of such a quantity in its original box, likely intended for a professional or retailer, makes it an extremely rare item. It offers a glimpse into the daily life of a now-vanished world, a blend of equestrian expertise and the imagery of the cobbled streets.
