A rare illustrated advertising game of goose, published for the sewing thread brand Au Conscrit (DA company), printed by Th. Wartel in Lille and Paris. The imagery, typical of the Belle Époque, celebrates textile production in northern France through a humorous journey retracing the stages of thread production and the life of a conscript. It features the Hellemmes factory, industrial processes, and comical military scenes, all rendered in a meticulous chromolithograph with vibrant colors. A rare example of the link between the textile industry and playful advertising in the early 20th century.
✦ Origin: France, North (Lille – Hellemmes)
✦ Estimated period: Circa 1913
