The imagery, typical of the Belle Époque, celebrates textile production in northern France through a humorous journey retracing the stages of thread production and the life of a conscript. It features the Hellemmes factory, industrial processes, and comical military scenes, all rendered in a meticulous chromolithograph with vibrant colors. A rare example of the link between the textile industry and playful advertising in the early 20th century.
