Important professional haberdashery sample binder, bringing together a structured set of decorative trimmings mainly made of gold and silver threads, sometimes mixed with finer textile weaves. Each page is carefully organized with hand-fixed and referenced strips (mentions "Qual." and numbering), testifying to a real manufacturing tool or commercial representation. The patterns vary between geometric designs, repetitive friezes, interlaces and complex woven compositions, characteristic of late 19th-century productions intended for textile ornamentation (clothing, furnishings, uniforms or decorations). The back of the binder bears an original German label "Doppelmesser für Export" (probably related to an internal classification or a range intended for export), strengthening the hypothesis of an industrial or textile trade use. Despite some partial gaps and traces of use, the whole remains very dense with approximately 210 preserved samples.
