Old small amber glass pharmaceutical bottle from the Pharmacie Centrale de France & Maison de Droguerie Menier, successors Buchet & Cie, in Paris. It contained pure iodoform, an organoiodine compound discovered in the 19th century and widely used in the past as a medical antiseptic, especially for dressings and surgical care. A beautiful example, retaining its original label and its complete old stopper with protective paper, string, and the guarantee seal of the Pharmacie Centrale de France.
