Old amber glass pharmaceutical bottle from Poulenc Frères in Paris, with its original paper label for Strontium Lactate. Beautiful typographic label mentioning the awards obtained by the company (including 2 Grand Prizes – Paris 1900) as well as its former Parisian addresses. Poulenc Frères was one of the major French chemical and pharmaceutical companies of the late 19th century, later becoming part of the Rhône-Poulenc group. Strontium lactate was a chemical salt used in pharmacy during this period.
