"Cars and Traffic Light" Puzzle - Circa 1930

0,00 € Déjà adopté

An antique circular puzzle illustrated with a lively urban scene showing several cars stopped at an intersection under a traffic light. The scene clearly evokes the world of 1920s and 30s motoring, with streamlined cars, modern buildings, and passersby observing the scene. The game involves guiding three small colored balls—green, yellow, and red—along the circular track to position them in the corresponding zones of the traffic light. This type of pocket-sized skill game, made of metal with a printed design under glass and an internal guide ring, was very popular between the two World Wars and today stands as a charming example of toys inspired by the burgeoning automotive era.

✦ Origin: Europe
✦ Period: Circa 1930
✦ Dimensions: diameter approx. 5.5 cm
✦ Condition: Good overall condition with normal wear to the metal rim. Decoration well preserved. Back with mirror showing some minor oxidation and signs of age.

An old patience game with a theme of car traffic and traffic lights, typical of pocket toys distributed during the interwar period and appreciated by collectors of miniature games.
