An old manual of esotericism and practical magic published under the initials J.B. by Jules Boucher, a French occultist also known for his work on Freemasonry and alchemy. This new revised, augmented, and corrected edition was released by Dervy in 1953, following an initial edition published by Niclaus in 1941. The work addresses magical practice in a very concrete manner: zodiacal and planetary correspondences, stones, the arrangement of the occultum and the altar, magical calendar, pentacles, symbols, and geometric constructions. Several illustrations and tables accompany the text. A work characteristic of mid-20th-century French occultism, which has become one of Jules Boucher's most well-known titles.
