Old advertising metal pencil holder for a vacuum cleaning company. The English inscription "Vacuum Cleaner" is complemented on the back by the French translation "Nettoyage par le vide" as well as an address at 11 rue Saint-Florentin, in Paris. This type of item was distributed as promotional material by early players in mechanical and vacuum cleaning, at a time when these techniques still represented a modern innovation. The removable cap reveals a system designed to hold a small interchangeable pencil.
