Vintage Grey-Poupon mustard pot in fine earthenware by Digoin & Sarreguemines, in a generous XL size with a rounded neck. Its black printed decoration features the coat of arms of Dijon surmounted by a mural crown, surrounded by vine leaves, bunches of grapes and banners recalling the house's awards and its founding in 1777. On the neck, the inscriptions "Paris 1900", "Hors concours" and "Membre du jury" complete this advertising piece. On the back, the phrase "Exiger la capsule" accompanies a large illustration of the capsule bearing the words "Moutarde", "Dijon" and "Grey-Poupon", intended to allow the customer to recognize the house's product. The base bears the crowned coat of arms stamp of Digoin & Sarreguemines. A beautiful piece of vintage grocery ware, with an abundant decoration and a warm patina.
