Old Félix Potin advertising jar in white earthenware with black printed decoration, illustrated with two particularly detailed views representing the sales house at 103 Boulevard de Sébastopol and the Félix Potin steam factory located at 77 & 79 Rue de l'Ourcq in Paris. This address is a valuable dating element: the factory, initially established at no. 77, extended to no. 79 in 1881, before a renumbering of Rue de l'Ourcq moved this complex to nos. 83-89 in 1883. This variant can thus be situated in a particularly short period, around 1881-1883. The architectural decoration, very finely printed, also constitutes a remarkable testimony to the beginnings of the advertising identity developed by the famous Parisian house.
