Old Félix Potin advertising jar in white earthenware with black typographic decoration, intended to contain a food preparation for "Garniture de Vol au Vent". This type of product corresponds to the delicatessen and canned goods activity developed by Félix Potin at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries. An advertisement from 1895 testifies to the distribution of "Félix Potin food products", while an old source also mentions a "Vol-au-vent, sauce financière, Potin brand", confirming that the company indeed marketed this type of culinary preparation. The particularly decorative typographic composition of the inscription "Vol au Vent", associated with the low and wide shape of the container, makes it a much rarer variant than the classic Félix Potin jam jars.
