Antique white ceramic toilet pot for "Fougère Royale Shaving Cream" from the house of Houbigant Paris. The lid is decorated in green with a fern leaf motif, directly related to Fougère Royale, a perfume launched by Houbigant in 1882 and which became a major reference in modern perfumery. This pot corresponds to a toilet and shaving variant, probably intended to contain a cream or shaving soap scented with Fougère Royale. Comparable references exist for Fougère Royale Houbigant shaving soaps, particularly in later shaving bowls.
