Vintage lithographed tin box of cocaine and menthol lozenges, bearing the inscription Chloro-borate Tablets. Presented on the label as a remedy for acute or chronic throat ailments, these lozenges bear witness to the former medicinal use of cocaine. A particularly astonishing detail: the manufacturer provided directions for use for both adults and children. A beautifully designed box, combining black and red typography with decorative borders.
