Lithographed pharmacy tin, in the cream and navy blue design typical of the interwar period. Marketed by the Coopérative Pharmaceutique Française in Melun under the direction of Dr. A. Salmon, it touted the antiseptic and analgesic virtues of pastilles containing menthol, borate, and cocaine—supplemented by stovaine, a synthetic anesthetic then very much in vogue. A rare testament to the pharmacopoeia of the era, both medical and graphic.
