Antique lithographed tin advertising sign for the famous “Éclipse” cream, produced by the Société Générale des Cirages Français. Its circular visual with black and white graphics features a smiling lunar face, eclipsed by a black crescent: a visual emblem that has become iconic. Manufactured in Paris and Lyon, the brand advertised its polish as “wax-based, acid-free and waterproof,” with bold, arched typography. The lithograph, pitted in places, gives this piece an authentic industrial patina.
