A beautiful English lithographed box, circa 1910-1920, signed by William Mitchell , one of Birmingham's most renowned manufacturers. Model Anglo French No. 0557F from the Pedigree Pens range, illustrated with a portrait of William Mitchell and the inscription "The pens with a pedigree." The red and black typography is typical of Edwardian pens, with gilt borders. The interior contains approximately three-quarters of the pen's nibs, from various sources, including Mitchell, Perry & Co., and Blanzy-Poure.
