A superb antique metal box adorned with colorful chromolithographs signed by Alphonse Mucha, a master of Art Nouveau. Intended for Boudoir biscuits from the Lefèvre-Utile company, it celebrates the numerous Grand Prix awards won between 1900 and 1913. The illustration depicts an elegant drawing-room scene and an angel crowning the brand, typical of Mucha's refined and theatrical style. Despite visible wear and losses, the tin retains all its decorative brilliance and its rare evocative power to recall the golden age of French advertising.

✦ Origin: Nantes, Lefèvre-Utile house
✦ Estimated period: Circa 1910-1915
✦ Dimensions: 20 × 12 × 8 cm
✦ Material: Iron with chromolithographed labels
✦ Condition: Wear, oxidation, and losses to the edges and lid, but the main decoration is clearly legible and very decorative

An iconic piece of Art Nouveau advertising – ideal for a LU or Mucha collection, or for inclusion in a graphic cabinet of curiosities.
