Antique shop sign in glacoïd, used in a butcher’s or delicatessen to inform customers during the hot season. The message, “Pendant les chaleurs, les viandes et charcuteries sont en frigo” (“During hot weather, meats and cold cuts are kept refrigerated”), is highlighted in expressive black and red Gothic lettering on an ivory background, typical of the 1930s–1950s. The rigid framed support allowed for visible display on a wall or counter.
An authentic and decorative piece, perfect to repurpose in a kitchen, pantry, or retro-style restaurant. It can also enrich a collection of antique advertising related to traditional food trades.
