An identification document issued during the Third Republic for a certain Louis-Émile André, born in 1904 in Romainville. On the open double page, one can see the original black and white portrait, carefully pasted in, the handwritten notes (height, blue eyes, white hair, long face, etc.) as well as two revenue stamps of 50 and 8 francs postmarked in Varenne-aux-Bois. A fine example of a post-war administrative document, both personal and visually authentic, marked by the typographic conventions and violet inks of the period.
