An antique dexterity game with a delightfully unsettling charm, " The Spider " features an illustrated scene of insects caught in a web, with a central, rotating spider. The player had to guide the marbles into specific zones around the spider. The original square box, signed JFJ, is typical of Belle Époque productions. However, this particular example has a unique detail: the back of the game belongs to another game from the same period ("The Blind Man"), likely used during an earlier restoration. Two corners of the lid have also been reinforced with discreet adhesive tape.
