A charming cardboard advertising box covered with a black and gold lithographed label, typical of late 19th-century pharmaceutical packaging. It bears the inscription "prepared according to the formula of Dr. Richard" for the Novalis soap factory in Brussels , specializing in dermatological products. The serif typeface, adorned with scrolls, evokes the style of the 1880s-1900s, a period when glycerin was touted as a protective ingredient for sensitive skin.
