Antique zinc typographic stencils used for marking wine barrels and crates. Each plate corresponds to a prestigious Bordeaux appellation: Sauternes, Cérons, Côtes Canon Fronsac, Monbazillac , and Pauillac . These stencils were used in wineries to identify the origin of the wines during shipping. They feature a period black patina, slight oxidation, and industrial typography perfectly representative of early 20th-century winemaking tools. A rare testament to the craftsmanship and trade of wine in the Gironde region. (Sold individually)
