The design blends gilded arabesques, embossed lettering, and medallions bearing the image of the Republic and the Expositions, with the inscription "Hors concours Paris 1900" (Out of competition Paris 1900). This luxurious version, rarer than the light blue model, was probably intended for display or for Parisian retailers.
