A white porcelain advertising jar stamped "Gellé Frères," a renowned perfume and hygiene company from Belle Époque Paris. This elegant ceramic box originally contained a glycerin-based toothpaste , made according to the process developed by chemist Eugène Devers. The typographic label is perfectly preserved, bearing the address 6 Avenue de l'Opéra in Paris, and the box is embossed with the manufacturer's name. A rare object from the world of period personal care, at the crossroads of the history of chemistry and advertising. A must-have for collectors of 19th-century bottles, bathroom accessories, or medical curiosities.
