A small lithographed tin advertising box from the Fradin & Châtelain biscuit factory, decorated on the lid with the inscription "Le Patriote" accompanied by a soldier (poilu) sounding a bugle, and the inscription "Tours". The sides feature a rich green and cream geometric design typical of the Belle Époque, alternating stylized plant motifs and illustrated cartouches. This type of box was used for packaging fine biscuits and constituted a durable advertising medium, designed to be kept and reused. A very representative example of French food graphic design at the turn of the 20th century.
