Old metal nib box from Baignol & Farjon in Boulogne-sur-Mer, an important French manufacturer of writing supplies during the Belle Époque. The particularly elegant blue, red and gold typographical decoration highlights the "Hors Concours Paris 1900" award, an emblematic feature of French industrial products from the late 19th century. The box still contains a very significant stock of original metal nibs, which enhances its appeal to collectors of antique writing instruments.
