A cylindrical lithographed metal box for packaging twine, produced by Bessonneaud in Angers, a major French manufacturer of spinning and rope-making mills at the end of the 19th century. The decoration features the famous rooster mark, an emblem of quality and durability, with elegant typography and a graphic composition characteristic of the Belle Époque industrial era. The lid, with its central perforation, allowed the twine to pass through, highlighting its original functional purpose. The box has a beautiful patina overall, with wear consistent with an antique utilitarian object.
