Old box of advertising metal nibs produced by Blanzy Poure & Cie in Boulogne-sur-Mer, a famous French manufacturer of writing nibs active in the late 19th century. The lid features a lively street scene around a huge advertising nib pulled on a cart, a particularly vibrant composition typical of Belle Époque commercial iconography. The box still contains a nice set of original metal nibs, with an unusual tubular profile intended for broad or technical writing.
