An antique, elongated, lithographed tin pharmaceutical box, produced for "Cachets Genneau," an antineuralgic remedy intended to relieve migraines, neuralgia, various pains, influenza, rheumatism, dental pain, and menstrual cramps. The design combines a green and red palette very characteristic of the early 20th century, with legible and hierarchical typography, highlighting the rapid action ("a tiny tablet in just a few minutes") and the original capacity of six tablets. The reverse side mentions the extensive therapeutic indications and the Bordeaux origin of the remedy. The box as a whole is a fine example of a popular French pharmacopoeia from the Belle Époque and the interwar period.
