Printed cardboard cigarette box for the famous "Capstan Navy Cut – Medium Strength," produced by WD & HO Wills in Bristol and London. The understated, structured blue, green, and brown design is typical of British tobacco packaging from the interwar period and the beginning of World War II. The lid features the Capstan brand, the words "Navy Cut Cigarettes," and the medium strength designation. The inside and reverse retain the authentication text with a printed signature and the mention of awards ("14 Prize Medals"), a characteristic feature of Wills products from this period. The box contained 10 cigarettes and is now empty.
