Small tin of shoe polish “Lion Noir – Paris-Montrouge”

A charming little circular tin made of cream and black lithographed metal, bearing one of the most iconic images of French cleaning products: the roaring lion of the "Lion Noir" brand. The highly decorative design, typical of the 1920s and 30s, includes the words "Cirage-Crème – Imperméable" (Stain-Cream – Waterproof) and the address "Paris-Montrouge". The back features usage instructions in an Art Deco insert. The metal opening lever is still present, a rarely preserved feature.
