A lithographed pharmacy box, with a cream and midnight blue design typical of the interwar period. Marketed by the French Pharmaceutical Cooperation in Melun under the direction of Dr. A. Salmon, it extolled the antiseptic and analgesic virtues of menthol, borate, and cocaine lozenges – supplemented by stovaine, a synthetic anesthetic then very much in vogue. A rare testament to the pharmacopoeia of the era, both medical and graphic.
