Pretty old English metal nib box published by C. Brandauer & Co Ltd, a major manufacturer from Birmingham specializing in writing supplies. Its pink and black triangular-composed decoration, adorned with printed medals and the mention “Steel Pen Manufacturers Birmingham”, is particularly graphic and typical of British productions from the turn of the century. The box still contains about 30 metal nibs, of a different model than the one illustrated on the label, which gives it the beautiful appearance of a workshop or reserve box such as one might find on a desk or in a stationery shop.
