Old medicine box for the treatment of hemorrhoids, prepared by G. Guilé, 1st class pharmacist, in Saint-Philbert-de-Grand-Lieu. Its beautiful green design, in a particularly expressive gothic typography, conceals a complex formula printed on the back: sodium fluoride, amylene hydrochloride, belladonna, horse chestnut, witch hazel... and especially soft opium extract. A rare curiosity of ancient pharmacopoeia, registered with the National Drug Control Laboratory under No. 338-2.
