A rectangular lithographed tin box for Polo filled wafers from Félix Potin , a major Parisian brand emblematic of the Belle Époque's fine food scene. The lid features a richly decorated design combining advertising typography, arabesques, and an illustrated scene of polo on horseback , a theme directly linked to the product's name. The inscription "Praline-filled wafers" appears below the "Polo" brand, accompanied by the signature Félix Potin Paris . A stamp on one corner reads "Require this Félix Potin stamp - registered trademark," an anti-counterfeiting measure typical of major food companies at the end of the 19th century. The sides display various illustrations: a view of the factory in Pantin (Seine) and a representation of the product, with the inscription "Manufacture de biscuits Félix Potin Paris." The box as a whole is a fine example of a food advertising tin from the turn of the century, combining narrative illustration, brand promotion, and highlighting its industrial origins.
