A small bronze sculpture of a lifelike lizard, finely modeled using the lost-wax casting method. Its sinuous body, curved tail, and slightly raised head reflect a precise observation of animal movement. The dark brown patina is punctuated with verdigris oxidation on the reverse, attesting to its age and early casting. The underside features a circular hole, likely intended for mounting on a plinth, lid, or desk base, a common feature in decorative castings of the Belle Époque.
