Illustrated advertising cards (Chromos) with their commercial backs, from major Parisian department stores of the late 19th century. Two pieces are from "Au Petit Saint-Thomas," a famous Parisian shop active on rue du Bac, while the third is from "À la Ville de Londres," specializing in haberdashery and novelties. The illustrated scenes, both naive and humorous, are characteristic of advertising chromolithography from this period, mixing childlike imagery and product staging.
