A superb portable mahogany pharmacy case with its 13 original bottles, from the Arnozan Pharmacy in Bordeaux, identifiable by its typographic labels and the address "Allées de Tourny." This type of case was intended for home or travel use by a wealthy clientele, containing the principal remedies and medicinal preparations of the period. The interior, carefully compartmentalized and lined with deep blue fabric, retains a handwritten list of contents, adding significant documentary interest. The blown-glass bottles, sealed with stoppers and bladder or bound leather caps, still bear their original labels (laudanum, sulfuric ether, elixir, ammonia, etc.), attesting to 19th-century pharmaceutical practices. The set exudes remarkable authenticity, both in its state of preservation and its homogeneity, and constitutes an emblematic piece of medical history and the world of cabinets of curiosities.
