An antique box or slide holder for the preservation and organization of microscope slides, made of very thick, rigid cardboard with an almost woody appearance, typical of scientific equipment from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The interior is compartmentalized to hold up to twenty slides, each held individually. The box currently contains thirteen microscope slides with identified botanical preparations, labeled in German, from a microtechnology laboratory. The specimens include plants such as Nerium oleander , Erica herbacea , Ledum palustre , Andromeda polifolia , and Rosmarinus officinalis . The set is of significant scientific, educational, and aesthetic interest, ideal for an antique microscopy collection, botanical specimens, or a cabinet of curiosities.
