A white glazed earthenware advertising lid, printed in black for Keddie's, a London company specializing in fish pastes and condiments in the late 19th century. The circular design features a spread-winged eagle surmounted by the word "Trade Mark," framed by the inscription "Keddie's – Telegraph Saucy London," with the product name "Real Bloater Paste for Toasts, Biscuits, &c." The border bears the address "115, Page Street, Westminster" and the company name "Keddie Limited." This lid was intended to seal jars of smoked herring paste, an iconic product of Victorian British grocery stores.

✦ Origin: England, London
✦ Estimated period: Circa 1880-1900
✦ Dimensions: Diameter approximately 9.5 cm
