A superb Blanzy-Poure & Cie pen nibs box illustrated with a harbor scene evoking the military port of Kronstadt, near Saint Petersburg. The colorful label in shades of yellow and turquoise, typical of the 1880s–1900s, blends industrial patriotism with commercial exoticism. The interior, lined with red paper, testifies to the meticulous craftsmanship of Blanzy-Poure, then the European leader in metal nibs. The box is empty but complete, with remarkably well-preserved colors.
