An enigmatic antique object , likely for ecclesiastical use, is housed in a hinged wooden box with its original latch. The interior features a stylized plan evoking an altar or liturgical niche, surmounted by a Marian symbol. The words "Monsieur," "d'abord," and "suite" are inscribed, along with the handwritten note "se propos de rentrer à:" (intends to return at:) placed above a graduated dial. Two columns of perforations suggest interactive use: the insertion of nails, needles, or markers. The whole evokes a system of regulation or organization linked to religious practice: perhaps a chart for passage, prayer, exit, or entry into a liturgical space. A unique piece, both graphic and mysterious.
