A charming antique dexterity game depicting the philosopher Diogenes, shown here reclining before his famous barrel. The aim is to get a metal ball inside the miniature barrel, which is housed in a glass-fronted case lined with red velvet. The cardboard box is covered in embossed paper with a crackle pattern, typical of Belle Époque production, and the colorful illustration on the front gives the game a beautiful graphic and symbolic value.
