A collection of handwritten documents on old paper, bound together with a piece of string, featuring elegant brown-ink handwriting, flourished capitals, signatures and annotations. The pages display a variety of layouts, from airy text to more closely written passages, accompanied by tax stamps from the généralité of Riom bearing a fleur-de-lis. This file concerns a garnishment case involving Damien Joubert, a paper merchant and manufacturer in La Forie, parish of Job, and the Nourisson family. A collection with striking graphic appeal, also preserving evidence of the paper-making trade and private affairs in Auvergne at the end of the Ancien Régime.
