An antique eye examination chart designed for visual acuity testing, particularly for children or patients who cannot read. This model features several hinged boards illustrated with symbols, letters, and pictograms (animals, objects, shapes) to assess visual perception at different distances. The marking "D: 5 m" indicates the reading distance used during the examination. The boards are connected by metal fasteners and suspended by a chain, allowing for easy wall mounting in an ophthalmology or optician's office, or in a school or medical setting. The whole piece is a beautiful antique medical instrument, both graphic and decorative.
