Beautiful early 20th-century enamelled garden plates, very likely produced by a major French seed merchant (Vilmorin, Tezier, Clause, Gautier Frères…). Used to identify fruit and vegetable varieties in gardens, greenhouses or seed displays, they feature the characteristic black typography of horticultural houses of the period. The inscriptions of fruits, vegetables and plants (beetroots, lettuces, cabbages, melons, tomatoes, sunflower…) make them perfect plates for botanical decoration or a vintage-style kitchen. (Sold individually)
